Does anyone else have video stuttering issues with gt120/4870

I have a 2009 Mac Pro with a gt120 and a ati 4870, i seem to get really annoying lag or stutters on a video on either card, i use handbrake alot so unfortunately i am stuck with the 64 bit version of vlc.. Does anyone else have these issues with either card or is it a vlc?

Oh and i have the latest drivers for my nvidia card (had same issue with the standard apple drivers before then)

I used to, but I haven't noticed it for a little while.. iirc, I thought it traced back to either a logitech driver, or an NEC/ Samsung display bug. There are a couple threads here and there about the mouse jumping and things like that
