My Macbook Pro 15" 2011, now after installing Lion OS X, loses wifi connectivity. It can't be my router because my iPad 2 still connects fine.

Any explanations for this? Thanks for any information.

I've also noticed some minor losses of connection.

Very brief though.. It lasts no more than 5 seconds, 10 at the most.

It does't happen frequently, but it does happen.

Also, all my machines keep searching for wifi networks even though I chose to have that option switched off..

Not sure what is going on...

Probably will be fixed soon..

Lion OS Keeps losing connection to my Wifi

Installed Lion - when I leave my MacBook Pro for a while I no longer see the Wifi signal. I have to go into the Network and look for the Wifi to reconnect. Bit of a pain.:(

There's a post a few back about wifi problems. It has instructions on it that might help you if you're having that particular problem!

Mac OS Lion loses wifi

I tried all the suggestions listed on that page & the wifi problem persists:(

strangely enough, I had the issues you mention when i had SL, constantly had to turn wifi off/on again and renew dhcp

since going to Lion it is resolved

yes every time I close my mba then open it it says my network has a self assigned ip address and cannot connect to the internet. This is 10 times worse since I upgraded to Lion. Its the first thing that has made me serious think about returning to windows.
