I would prefer it on the bottom lid like rMBP's.

that's just me though.

I don't see how it's that big of a deal. I personally like it and if you don't like it because it's obtrusive. I think you're looking too hard. The ASUS lettering on my laptop is quite large but hadn't noticed it until I looked when I read this:D

I just assumed that when Apple removed it from the MacBook Pro, that this was a trend going forward.

Wonder if we could scratch off it off lol....if anyone finds a way if doing so by leaving the mac really nice, let me know

You can look up some videos of people removing the Apple/lettering off of their iPhones. I bet it would work very similarly.

It's not something I'm sweating at all, I'm not in the market for rMB (performance, price, keys supposedly taking an adjustment period, one USB-C only) and not trying to troll, I just find it to be an interesting design choice.

If I were in the market, of course it wouldn't be the deal breaker.

How hard can one be looking too? It's right below the screen, which is all you're staring at unless you don't use it or are in constant clamshell

I get ya, like I said I've never noticed it on this PC. Maybe Macs are a little different. Maybe it stands out more

I thought removing it from the rMBP was cost cutting. I would rather have it.

Guess with their pricing for the rMB they can afford to put it there. :D

I feel that the r MBP without the lettering feels unfamiliar. However, I don't think that is even something I would be noticing if I had one.

I prefer it not there. It's an eye sore. We know it's a MacBook. You dont spend $1400 bucks and not know what it is...

perhaps more off putting than the lettering, is the crap below the glass bezel that doesn't match any color (silver/space grey/gold). Looks prototype-y to me in person.
