Does anyone else think the new Maps app looks... kinda ugly?

I mean 3D maps and Flyover mode look cool, but as far as the colors, icons and some different UI elements... the new 2D maps just look ugly to me, and lacking the quality and presentation I would expect in an official mapping solution from Apple. It still doesn't hold a candle up to Google Maps, from what I've seen so far.

No. Change is good. I like them. The google ones were ugly in my opinion.

They look fine to me. I never really thought Google Maps looked all that elegant.

Completely 100% agree. I keep thinking Ill warm up to em but haven't so far. It reminds me of cheesy Bing maps or something like that. I'm really hoping the color scheme will be improved over time.

I agree with the OP. I wished they had worked things out with Google. Google maps have matured into a very nice product.

Personally I thing the Bing/Nokia street maps are the best, very glanceable.

I think they LOOK nice, but I think the google maps are a ton more functional and readable.

I'm hoping the maps functionality progresses with the betas.

No. It's the best looking GPS I have ever seen. Waze is a good GPS but my problem is that I can' see where I am turning because it's not designed good. This App is designed good.

I think the navigation looks pretty good, but the overall map when just browsing or navigating yourself is not as easy.
