I am in need of some parts for my Early-2005 PowerBook G4 (15"). The parts I need are:

  • the hard drive cable
  • hard drive bracket with screws and "clamp"
  • RAM cover door and screws
  • a set of screws that hold the keyboard/palm rest down.

Does anyone have a donor machine with these parts? Don't have much to spend or I would hit up eBay, but that is all that is keeping an otherwise mint condition 1.67GHz G4 laptop from working. If I buy a parts machine from eBay, I'll just be tempted to get it running too.

Thanks in advance!

If nobody responds with a donor, try hitting up PowerBookMedic.com (US) or TheBookYard.com (UK) for parts. I am in Australia and have utilized both sites (in addition to eBay) to get my various old Macs into working order. PowerBookMedic had the drive cables and sleds for my 12" PB G4 for less than a couple of bucks.

Hey, PowerBook Medic had everything (for cheap!) except the screw set. I guess I will go ahead and get those from eBay. Thanks!
