Does anyone have a set up with a 17 inch MBP and external display?

i use a 15" and the 24" ACD and i dont see why you would need a 17". the only thing i wish i had was the battery life of the 17"

I was using my 17" Unibody with a 30" Cinema Display, but the dual-dvi adapter is horrible. I was getting static and shifting of colors on my external display.

I would not recommend using the dual link dvi adapter. The DVI adapter works much better, but you cannot use the 30" cinema display.

I'm using a 17" with the 24" ACD and it is awesome to be able to run them together in their native resolution.

Same setup, and it's nice but with the 17" screen and great battery I am finding myself at my desk less and less

It is however a great setup if you need a larger screen.

I don't bother hooking an external display, except my 26" HDTV which I use to watch TV Shows/Movies on. Besides that, my 17" is almost never at my desk unless it needs a charge. Once the battery is near full or full, I take it to another room and use it.

Would explain why I nearly have 60 battery cycles in less than 2 months.
