does anyone have experience using there mac as a dvr recorder?

Im am going to a wrestling event and would like to record the show. I don't have a dvr. has anyone used the eye tv hybrid and does it work? Can i use it to record cable tv shows to my mac? if not does anyone know of a web site that i can pay or and download the episode of monday night raw dec 5 ?

I use my Elgato EyeTV card all the time to record stuff from TV and works perfectly.

Using the hybrid usb stick version with the original eyetv 3 software.

does this work with cable? Also I see I can buy it online however do they sell it in a retail store like the apple stores?
