Does anyone have experience with an old MBP with old ssd?

Hy,

I'm gonna buy the new MBP 17" with ssd. 'Cause I want my MBP to last (live a long life, like 5-6 year) I was wondering if I needed to change the ssd after using it.

So therefor I ask since when you can order a MBP with ssd?
And does anyone had experience with an older MBP that has the original ssd from apple? Does the speed decrease much over time?
