Started some time this month, at random times when I am away from the computer, apps would just close randomly. Theres no crash popup or anything. They just close. It seems to be random apps.

It also only closes when I am away, never caught it doing it while I am active at using the computer. It’s a m2 pro mac mini.

The computer is set to never sleep, so it doesnt really sleep.

I've had the same thing happening with Messages, Outlook, and Teams. It's been a major PITA for the last couple weeks now. Glad to hear that there's some hope for this bug being fixed in 15.5.

This started happening to me after the 15.4 update. It's been discussed on Reddit and the Apple Community:

There doesn't appear to be a fix, but the good news is it's fixed in 15.5. I've been running the public beta for several days now and apps have completely stopped crashing.

Well, I hope 15.5 really does fix it. The problem with Messages quitting constantly/frequently – when I use it all the time – is super-annoying.
Solution appears to be still working:
"Disable Automatic Termination of Apps in Mac OS X"

This worked for a bit, but isn't working for me long term with the Messages app. [sigh]
