Does anyone know if the DMA vunerability on Mac's has been fixed within OS-X? as it has with Microsoft in Windows 8.1

According to this, it's not much of a vulnerability, in that it's extremely easy to block it from being exploited.

With regard to USB, DMA, and OS X, I am not aware of anything that needed fixing.

Thanks, that's good to know. I wasn't sure if USB was vulnerable or not, but in any case, it looks like setting a firmware password will protect against any unknown DMA threat via USB
