I prefer no branding (well branding, bottom of the lid), and the bezel perfectly meshed black with the black glass frame,

I never fully came to terms with the lettering and the off-color chin to my 12" rMB, but a beautiful machine in general so whatever :D

This is also on the new macbookpro. I noticed it and hadn't realised it was on the MacBook.
I agree with what you are saying - it looked way better as all glass and no branding. I compared the 2016 13" MBP to an older one and it makes it look cheaper.

However the overall hinge design is a large improvement and it appears to me they had to do something at the base to achieve the new hinge, hence the cheesy plastic strip. Worst thing on the MacBook range I think.

this was meant to be in MBPro subform, oh well

since MBPro just came out and its design elements 'borrow' heavily from rMB
