True, but they are very close. Do a search online. I found one that is VERY close and a big improvement over the Apple profile.
 
I do, but I can tell from experience that it needs to be run separately. I went from a 2010 with an LG screen to a 2011 with an LG screen, and the latter required fewer adjustments.
 
I don't need to run a search to know that if you are looking for color accuracy, it is calibrated per monitor.

Close is off, you can get close with supercal and patience.
 
Really doesn't work that way. Make the investment. Every computer you own (or will own) can be calibrated by the one piece of hardware. By far one of my best (and fav) purchases of the last few years.
 
i've got one...I'll get to it sometime this weekend and upload the profile. It won't be exact for everyone, but chances are it'll be closer that you can get squinting and trying to match apples. :) I did the same for my 2010 MBP and people seemed happy with the results across their machines.
