I just noticed that Drobo shut down earlier this year and offer no support and I'm curious if anyone is still using theirs? I have mine but its so slow in comparison to modern drives that I'm thinking of just throwing It away as they sell for peanuts on Ebay and not worth the hassle.

If they do still use a Drobo, they better have great backups and a migration strategy ready to go at a moments notice.

Ha! Yes that's what I was thinking. I use mine as a last resort back up. I've had corrupt data many times with it and have to use Disk warrior to get it going again. Now the company has gone bust I've lost all faith in it.

I still have a drobo 5d and Mini, both work great but I notice that Drobo filed for bankrupcy last year, so no more support. Ill use as scratch storage until they die. Both are over 8 years old and still functioning.

yeah mine is the 5C and not as good as the D model. its a shame how they ended up as I really liked the physical quality of the product.
