They haven't had an iPhone since the 3GS, and I thought maybe they are waiting for the next big thing, like the iPhone 5. So do you think why or why not? And will it have HSPA+, because T-Mobile's HSPA+ goes up to 42mbps, and the highest I've gotten was 28mbps.

I think so.

T-Mobile is hamming it up about iPhone compatible frequencies and they are no longer running ads slamming iPhones.

Sounds like a budding love affair is coming.

Regionals, and pre paids are even getting iPhones. What on earth did Tmo do to Apple lol!

T mobile isn't going to change their entire networks frequencies for the iPhone That would take years. If t mobile is getting the iPhone its a new model that supports their aws frequency.

You do realize there's a T-mobile in the UK too?

Yea but arent we talking about tmobile usa doe?

Actually they are slowly switching to att 3G spectrum for the end of this year, and will start to switch to LTE next year.

Actually that's not true at all, their refarming is going to cover their entire network. Secondly, AWS will be in the next iPhone regardless of whether or not T-Mobile carries it, both Verizon and AT&T will use it as a backup for 700MHz LTE.

I hope so.

Anything to hurt AT&T and Verizon and make them stop trying to crap on customers with the nickle and diming.

I think T-Mobile US will get the new iPhone this year. With their refarming of the network and small carriers getting the iPhone, it makes sense to release one for them.

If anything, they'll be able to support 3G/HSPA+ speeds for the iPhone due to their refarming of spectrum.

However, I would not want to get an iPhone through Tmobile if they were to sell it. I enjoy my $5 a month data plan...of course, this could easily go away. But Tmobile USA twitter said that after refarming is complete, iPhone customers could keep their existing unlimited data plans.

Of course, this could change too. But until that changes, I would keep using an iPhone out of contract and with my $5/month data plan.

(And personally, I go out of the country a few times a year so an unlocked phone would be far more useful for me)

I doubt it, they don't subsidize their phones enough to make the price of an iphone $200, and their coverage is not good.

Switch providers (because it sucks) and you might want to switch phones too... Wait for the iphone 5 and check the new androids...
