Does anyone use a Shared Library without sharing?

I'm trying to get more organised with my huge photo collection. I'm tempted to make a Shared Library and use it purely for my more (ha) professional stuff. So keeping the main library for family and day to day, and a Shared Library for billions of boring shots of rocks at sunset. Does anyone else use a Shared Library purely as an organisational tool and not to actually share anything?
