Does anyone use Darwine? How does it go?

Hi,
I am just wondering if anyone here uses darwine, and if so, does it really work? If I was to install Darwine would it reallyallow me to install windows apps straight into OS X?

If the answers are 'yes', why isnt everyone using Darwine? I havent downloaded it yet myself, ive got dial-up so it would take ages, but I plan on downloading it soon. Just wondering what the go is with this program.

It does not let you run all apps. Its still beta...i think
