Does anyone use Google Now on iOS?

I have to admit that I like Google maps and the traffic updates in Google Now.

I haven't tried ios 9 yet because I'm waiting for my 6s+ to get here.

Does anyone use Google Now for ios? If so do you like it? Does it require background app refresh or can you refresh it manually?

For those of you who have tried both siri proactive and Google now on IOS, which do you prefer and why?
