iPad Air Does Anyone Use Their iPad with a Digital Piano? (Korg PA1000)?

I have a number of piano/keyboard apps on my new iPad Air and want to use them with my Korg PA1000 digital piano. IOW - play the PA1000's keyboard and have the resulting sound selected from and sound from the piano app on the iPad.

Is anyone doing anything like this? I suspect its a matter of matching MIDI channels between the two devices, but I can't figure out how.

Rather than repeat all of the specifics that I've tried, here's a link to a Piano World Forum thread that I initiated... FWIW, the app that I'm trying this with is Pianoteq 8.

Any help/suggestions welcomed.
