Does Apple backports drivers for newer hardware to recent OS?

Is it likely that the driver will be release for 10.14.x?

I'm talking about the new AMD RX5700 but this could apply to any new hardware.

In general, no, Apple doesn't back port drivers in this way. There's a (very slim) chance the drivers could make it into the 10.14.6 update, but if that doesn't happen, you're probably out of luck.

I'm hoping the drivers get included in the last 10.14 release!
