the only non-standard config in Apple Stores for the 11" Air is the i7 256GB ultimate model for $1649.

I ordered my i7 128Gb online, bought a 2010 13" ultimate from ebay, switched the ssd, resold the 2010 with the 128gb in for a total of £60 loss. Better tahn the £250 apple charge!

Last time I did this I actually made £35 on the 2010 model after the ssd switch, but the value of them has dropped a bit now.

Actually, you can get a i7/128GB if you buy the 11". You can't get that Proc/Storage (from Apple) on a 13".

It varies depending on where you live. There are 5 large Apple stores in my area. Three of the five carry every model of MBA. The inventory in Apple stores is a reflection of the customer demographics. That's one of the ways Apple makes so much money, they carry the merchandise that sells. Brilliant.
