Does Apple extended return policy (up to 1/07/14) apply to in-store purchases?

I know they do it for online and in-store pickups but do they offer it for in-store purchases? I bought mine 5 days ago and receipt says December return date...

Apparently so, because yesterday I returned my iPad Air purchased in store on November 1st. I decided I want the Retina Mini this time around and they told me the return date for everything is extended until January.

If it's got a January return date, it will say on the receipt. If says December that's your return date.
