Brand new iPad Air, got it today, I updated it to 14.3. Even after the update, the Apple Fitness app still says it requires features not on this device and there is no download link. I know people had problems with iPad when it first came out but most articles say it is fixed.

Caveat is that I do not have an Apple Watch. I was under the impression that you could still use it without the watch and just follow along with the workouts. Or do I need to set it up on the Watch first and that’s why it’s not available for download on iPad?

You need a Apple Watch series 3 or later.
