Have an appt tomorrow at 11:40 to have my phone, which will be replaced for sure, looked at.

Does anyone know of Apple keeps phones in stock for this type of thing?

My microphone was shot out of the gate.

The threads here say they do at some places and they do not at others.

I would call the store you are going to and ask:rolleyes:

Alright.

Thanks for the reply.

Also, are the replacement phones in the skinny white boxes also NEW?

Sorry to ask dumb questions, but this is honestly my first ever defective iPhone and I am a noob at trying to get one replaced.

For now, the white-box iPhone 5 units are new. I'd say in a week or so, we'll start seeing remanufactured units.

Even so, it's probably still a good idea to get a refurb from an Apple store, seeing as they'll get inspected and scrutinized more (hopefully) than the new, retail models.
