Does apple make an official car charger for the iPhone?

Anyone know for sure? BTW what eve happened to the official iPhone BT?

Apple does not make a "car charger", and they discontinued the Bluetooth headset a month or two ago.

Any examples of this "car USB adapter"?

Also, when I search for car adapters, on Amazon, what's with all the cheap ones lists for .01, .50 cents? (new, not used).

Anyone have a proven favorite?

Got EOL'd as they're changing BT. Come OS 3.0 launch there will be a LOT more accessories.
As for car charger - Apple's remit seems to be to do a few accessories, and then let the rest who've signed up to the "made for ipod, works with iPhone group" to do the rest.

I have a Griffin car charger that I purchased at my local Apple store, and it works just fine. I can charge my iPhone and iPod if either are getting low on battery power.

^^ Yep. I bought my Griffin one from RadioShack on clearance for $10. It's just a lighter adapter with a USB on the end of it. Then I plug in one of my hundreds of Dock Connector USB cables to it and leave it in the glove box.

But to answer the original question, no. Apple does not make one.

No they don't. I had to buy a 3rd party one, which is no problem as it works and is probably a lot cheaper than apple would sell it for :)

i have one from DLO which works fine. only used it with the original iPhone, not the 3G though.
