Does Apple Music not animate artworks like on iOS?

I’m new to Apple Music, coming from Spotify until recently.
I’m disappointed that all album covers don’t animate like on my iPhone or iPad. On iPad you can click on the player, and it expand, showing the album art with a beautiful background color and lyrics. I know you can make it pop in from the right on Mac, but it’s not exactly the same. Also, why does the artist have a large banner of them on the iPad version but on Mac it’s just a small round profile pic put in front of an image less banner?

Album art used to animate on my iMac, but I checked it just now and it doesn't any more. If I go to the album in Apple Music I still see the animated art, but when I play the same album in my Library, it doesn't. I guess this is another bug they'll have to fix in an update.
