I am trading-in to Apple my 2018 15" MBP as part of my 16" MBP purchase. It has Apple care for another 20 months or so. Does Apple pay you for this unused coverage? If so, does it come as a credit to my Apple account or ???

If I don't get paid, can remove it for a credit?

I believe you can also transfer it over to another Mac (as long as it’s the same model) but I could be be wrong.

Not sure how that would work since I paid for the 3 years of AppleCare+ when I bought the 2018 system and want to ensure I get 3 years on the 16". But it is definitely something I will bring up with the Apple people. Thanks!
