Where I work we are still stuck on Leopard for a variety of technical reasons. We are trying to upgrade to snow leopard, but the process is slow and it's not really one of our customer's top priorities right now. However, we are quite worried about security, as is pretty much everyone else right now. Now I know it's been Apple's (unofficial?) policy to only provide security updates for the n-1 release, but do they ever publicly state they are dropping support for a particular OS? For instance, the page for Tiger http://www.apple.com/support/tiger/ doesn't say anything about it not being supported, but since the latest security update is from 2009, it's pretty much a given.

Does Apple ever make official announcements on this matter? And are the odds pretty good they are going to drop support for Leopard(and thus all PPC users!) as soon as Lion is released next month?
