Does apple remember id to device?

If you download an app with your apple id, does apple's server somehow remember your device's serial number or something to it? If it does, what exactly do they store from your device to the account (udid, some kind of serial code?)?

Your apps aren't tied to a specific device even if it does.

Presumably yes. You have up to 10 devices (iOS devices and computers) to use your apple id on.
