Does Apple replace bulging batteries same day if you bring to the Apple Store?

Does Apple do same-day replacements or does it take a couple of days for bulging batteries?

I got a same-day battery swap when my previous MacBook's battery bulged as that one had a removable battery but I had to leave my 2016 MacBook pro with them for a couple of weeks to get the battery replaced.

Why don't you ask your nearest Apple store? They probably can inform you better than this forum.

IF they have the battery
and
IF they have the time
and
IF you drop it off early
then
...they MIGHT be able to get it back to you the same day
but...
... better figure at least "next day pickup" or maybe even "second day".

and one other thing:
BACK IT UP before you take it in.

No they have to send the swollen battery to the repair center to be fixed due to fire risk. I dropped off mine on Sunday 7/5 and just arrived the repair center last Saturday. They had to ship it with Ground because swollen batteries can't get on flight from what Genius Bar told me.
