Will I have to be home to receive the iPhone. Fedex and UPS are use to delivering to my house do to my work but will they be required to get a signature?

Excellent! Thanks, I see that listed under the FAQs now.

I'll look for the link to pre-sign after the item has shipped.

Where do you live? I'll camp outside your house.

On a serious note, there are people who follow fedex trucks on big delivery dates to scoop up presigned deliveries.

I typically have to sign the release form for iphone\ipad deliveries since I'm not home... but I tell them to leave it at the back door so it doesn't sit out in the open all day.

dumb question:

Does anyone can sign for delivery or the "Ship to" person must be home to sign for iPhone delivery?

You can presign like everyone else said...

You can do it direct from the APPLE site or you will have to pick it up in person because they will leave a notice on the door...

So they will just leave it at the door?

I wonder where he/she lives? I know last year people/theives were following the UPS and FedEx trucks!

I had read about that but am not concerned.

99.9% chance FedEx will not make to my house before I get home and I will be tracking it all day and work 10 minutes from home or my niece lives 10 doors down who will be home.

Something to think about though...

I mean if I lived in a high crime area I would not sign a pre-release form, but I feel like where I live I could leave my doors unlocked and be ok.

If you pre-sign and your driver or neighbor steals it, you're screwed (Apple won't be responsible). If you are willing to take that risk then yes pre-sign it.

I am in college and am having my iPhone shipped to my school - whoever handles the mail will be able to sign for it, right? In other words, I won't have to be there to sign for it since it is being shipped to my name. I just hope my iPhone 5 doesn't get held up! :D

I think someone over 18 just needs to be there. I signed for a phone 2 weeks ago at my house that was not mine. It was shipped 2 day air FedEx from VZW.

They say they do, but I've received orders from Apple without being asked to sign.

Can I pre-sign if ordered from Verizon Wireless?

it would not be the same thing that you print from apple. You would just have to leave a note for the fedex delivery man. basically just write the date and sign something saying "you authorize them to leave your package with order #xxxx"
