Does Apple usually have promotions or discounts for the holidays?

Hi everyone, I'm planning to purchase a MacBook soon. Since it's almost holiday season, I wonder if Apple will have new promotions or discount its prices and if I should just wait until December to order it. Has Apple traditionally, in the past, come out with promotions and discounts before Christmas? Thanks...
