I think Apple Watch calculates the calories you burn while working out much more than the reality. Do you think it calculates rests and shows less calories during the rests? Do you use Workouts App during bodybuilding? Thanks in advance.

Yes. I think it has the weightlifting algorithm build in, which assumes rest periods, so when your heart rate drops, it’s burning less calories. So if you’re doing a HIIT lift session, your hr never drops, the calories burned will be higher than a power lifting session with 2 min between sets.
