For example, if I bough the North American version of an Apple Watch, but get it replaced in Europe, do they replace it with the European version?

If you try to get it replaced in Europe you’ll get European version because that’s what in stock. They won’t go out of their way to ask for one Apple Watch to be shipped to them.

From my very recent personal experience, it took a lot of effort to get it replaced at all (imported a US model and an issue with it in Austria, where I live).
Definitely no express service, but an email to Tim‘s address got things at least moving and then solved in my favor.
What I’ve learned: You can only get a replacement with a version that’s available in the region you are getting support in and that’s the problem. Normally they can only replace a product with the same model, which isn’t available in Europe.

That's wonderful-it works in my favour lol. The Cellular model from Canada isn't compatible in the UK, and my Edition isn't retailed anymore. So now I know how to get the local version haha!
Thank you
