If I trade my faulty iPhone for a new refurbish one..

Will they delete all the data on my faulty iPhone? because I got lots of data that I dont want others to have

Well, if it's faulty (have no access) can't user-delete anything.

I wouldn't worry. Apple is not your fly-by-night operation. *If* they fix the thing they would most likely nuke the whole thing and reload OS from scratch like the new owner would expect them to, no to mention it's easier, why would they spend extra time white-gloving your (and only important to you) data.

They get you to go settings-general-reset-erase all content and settings before the switch. Probably to keep themselves safe from possible claims of data theft etc. that's in Australia though so policies may vary depending on country. Can't hurt to erase it yourself though. Just make sure you have a backup before going to the store as the Genius Bar doesn't do backups for you.
