I don't get my next upgrade until June and I'm worried I won't be able to get a $200 iPhone 5. Last year, I was only a year into my iPhone 3G's contract when I bought the iPhone 4 for the subsidized price. Is that likely to happen again this time?

Depends on what your monthly bill is for the line you want to upgrade. If it is over 100 then upgrades happen in about 12 months otherwise it is about 18 months or so. Otherwise you probably qualify for the early upgrade price.

I got my iphone 4 on the 24th of June 2010 and my bill is about 180$ a month and my primary line is eligible for an upgrade on the 22nd of November 2011(17 months). So i'm guessing not everbody gets the 12 months upgrade even if your bill is over $100.

AT&T/Apple always did promotions where if you were an early adopter of previous iPhone (gotten the iPhone during the first 3 months), you were able to get the latest generation for the subsidized price. It wasn't like this before but enough customers vented about not being able to upgrade where they decided to do this.
