I remember when the shared plans first came out, there were numerous reports of people being able to use the "upgrade" on their tablet to do a cross upgrade for a new iPhone. According to AT&T's website you can only upgrade in the same device category, but I'm not sure if that's actually the case or if the upgrade indeed works. People that were successful last year said that AT&T wouldn't do it, but if you entered the number for the tablet on Apple's site it gave them the fully subsidized price for the iPhone and were able to successfully complete the order. Has anyone tried this recently and does it still work? I have an LTE iPad, and I'd gladly add it to my Mobile Share plan for $10/month if it gives me the opportunity to get a fully subsidized iPhone 5S. I suppose I can always add it today and find out. But before I make the trip to the AT&T store I figured I'd ask to see if anyone has had luck with this recently. Thanks.
