Does AT&T version iphone 4s factory unlocked?
I heard that people can buy AT&T version iphone 4s without contract at full price.
And when they connect the iphone 4s to itunes, it says"your iphone is factory unlocked"
Can really do that???????????????:eek:

Once is iphone 4s is unlocked, I can use either AT&T or T-mobile?
It won't be locked again right?

Yup, there's a thread on this already but it is unlocked when you buy it at full price, mine was at least.
 
But I just asked apple store online, they said that they do not sell no-contract iphone 4s.:confused:

You cannot ask for an unlocked phone--must ask for off contract AT&T model, ask for device only, don't activate in the store. Also, can't get these online, only in the retail store.

Why can not activate in the store?

If some one bought AT&T iphone 4s with two years contract. The phone is sealed. He sell to me for $600, can I still unlock it by connect to itunes?

Yes. Once unlocked it is in database and is considered factory unlocked. Apple will not relock it again. There is no software hack with this process. iTunes contacts apple database and verifies imei and it's considered unlocked.
 
If you already have an iPhone 4, don't worry about upgrading until your contract is up. It really isn't worth the money.

I plugged it on itunes/computer first. And did the set up.
Then I put in my Tmobile sim. And it worked.
Although I did not get the "Congratulations your iphone 4s is unlocked" - BUT, I assume my phone is unlocked since I am using it with Tmobile.

cool, thanks. just making sure the at&t sim doesnt throw it off.
