Does Boot Camp come pre-installed on the new iMac's?

I've just ordered mine.

Also, do I need to purchase XP/Vista in order to use Boot Camp?

thanks,

it's my first Mac experience, though I love the product from my use at college.

Yes, it comes with the new macs, and yes would to buy xp/vista.

(another option is to the virtualization of Virtualbox, but you would still have to buy xp)

All bootcamp basically is is a partitioning program, splitting your hard drive to use both OS X and windows. But yes, it does come installed.

You'll also need a copy of XP or Vista (on a single disk) to use it.

It does come with but sometimes not pre-installed.

It IS included in the disks for your system. Some people have reported the option is missing in their utility folder. If it IS missing when you receive your Mac you can easily install it in there.

From what I've read the side effects of it missing from pre-installations are on MB's.

Fret not though, BC is a package that comes with the new Macs.
