iPhone 5 or earlier DOES CARPLAY UPDATE YOUR PHONE & WHERE?

Yes, I still have an iPhone 5s... Still works great.. I just had an after market stereo installed in my car that has carplay.... I was using it then disconnected from the car, and got all these messages about driving and carplay...

Are there settings on the phone that carplay will update?
