Sorry if this has been addressed before. Just need a quick answer so I can complete my purchase.

1. Does it void warranty or nullify Applecare by installing an SSD yourself?

2. What is the best, fastest, and best value SSD you can purchase and from where?

3. Are there any step-by-step directions illustrating how to change a MBP HD to SSD?

Thanks.

1. No. You can install any HDD or SSD that you like.

2. Probably one of the Sandforce-based OCZ SSDs, but as I don't have any SSD personally I'm not certain.

3. Google is quite useful for that sort of thing. :D

Thank you so much. This is why I keep coming back to Macrumors for over 6 years now.
