I've read all over the internet the only way someone that upgraded to 2.2.1 to jailbreak there phone was to downgrade to 2.2. I also heard that downgrading didnt downgrade your baseband back to 2.28. My question is, is this really true and if the baseband doesnt downgrade but your firmware does, can you still jailbreak? Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post.

im pretty sure that once you upgrade your baseband it cant be downgraded hence why people who need to unlock will preserve the baseband and still upgrade to the 2.2.1 firmware.

I recommend you start another thread and ask this same question a third time.

Unfortunately, no. Thankfully the Dev Team puts bolded text on their website stating if you wish to unlock, don't upgrade the baseband or use certain tools. :)
