Looks good but i think it needs more customization like a logo or a unique color scheme. You know, something to make it look different from all the other like-forums using this template ect..

Its Outlook is very nice. But you have to provide some rest of features is good in this forum. But It is to be add advance design templates in the forum.

First of all, does your forum actually offer something different than others of it's kind? You should think about that.

If you decide that it does, you've built an SMF forum, and they are easy to customize. Take some time to redesign the template so it has more of a unique look to it, and get some logos and custom imagery to use.

I would really work on combining forums into a easier to read and follow layout. I have prepared a simple mockup of what I think the layout should be.

The layout above is much easier to follow and read than the old one. It cuts down on the unneeded and overlapping forums offered.

hows my forum what should i change?

Is it too clutered, too hard to read, too many topics etc?

mopar.libertycrd.com

* Note it isnt open to the public yet it will be moved to mopar4x4.com soon.

I have been told to:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You're better off merging most of those subfoums. It is a bit too cluttered.

So I thought to:

So should I delete :

Dodge / Chrysler Engines

Jeep Engines

Diesel Talk / Alternative Fuels

Modifications! For all Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge Vehicles!

And Merge :

General

with

What Ever Goes!

-----------------------------

And merge:

Jeep Performance Talk

with

Chrysler / Dodge Performance Talk

Or just delete them.

* What should I do?

Take out the Dodge/Chrysler Engines section. Those posts can be there in their appropriate Dodge forum.

Same with the other car manufacturers.

And merge Whatever Goes with General.

Oh, and rename the Dodge section to Dodge/Chrysler since it has Chrysler.

K, thanks! When you say move the Engines to their approipate forum do you mean out the V10 8.4L with the Dodge Ram SRT 10. the 3.7l v6 with the Jeep Liberty as a child of the Jeep Liberty Section.

* what layout looks better:

A) libertycrd.com

Or

B) mopar.libertycrd.com

I meant take out the engine sections. The posts in that section can belong in the car that they belong to's section. Like let's say a 3.7l v6 Jeep Liberty.

If somebody has a question about the engine, they can just post that in the Jeep Liberty section, there's bound to be another member that looks there that has the same engine, no?

To me, forums.libertycrd.com looks better than the other one.

You're kind of a new forum, and I'm just going to warn you about something. Take out "The Outpost" market forum. Until you get established more, and start having more members, I think a marketplace seems a little shady. That's my opinion though.

i agree. get rid of the many, many sub sections you have. also make sure you have good anti-spam addons installed. try and make, or at least get a template from somewhere to change the layout

How can I edit the New Posts No New Posts images?
