I have iCloud and gmail set to push. I notified that the native Mail app is listed as one of the most battery intensive apps due to "background activity." I've switched to the Gmail app for notifications and dropped my gmail account to fetch in the native app.
However, I don't need my icloud emails instantly (which actually still lags) so I was going to drop iCloud down to fetch, but here's my question: does fetch only affect email or does it affect how Notes, Reminders, etc is updated.
I still want notes, reminders, reading list, etc to be updated instantly. If I use a fetch setting will that mean that all iCloud data is updated in increments? Does it affect how often third party apps can update?
Thanks.
