I'm sorry if this has been asked, but I wasn't able to see a topic like this.

My friend and I are into making movies, and were going to buy Final Cut Studio to edit. But because the old macbook couldn't handle it, I had to save up for the Macbook Pro. But since the New Macbook's are supposed to be better, I was wondering if they could run all of FCS, because I'd much rather pay for a regular macbook than the MBP.

I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I can tell you this. I have the mid 2007 15" MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz, upgraded to 4 gigs of memory. I just got Final Cut Studio 2 and so far it's been running fine. If you go with the 2.4 GHz MacBook, upgrade the memory (either through Apple or on your own; could be cheaper if you buy it separately), you'll be fine, especially taking into account the new/better graphics chips in the laptops.
