Does Gates own AAPL stock?

Ok, I heard a disturbing and totally unsubstantiated rumor that Gates and Co. have been buying up large portions of Apple Stock with obvious and not so obvious intentions. Is this an old myth or a tired out discussion?

I believe MS has a large chunk of apple stock that they bought years ago.

Well unless they've been buying again, the (non-voting) stock they once owned was sold over 2 years ago and Gates and Co. have no investment in Apple other than MacBU!

Doesn't really matter because Steve still runs the show... Cool if it's true though because it's obviously a big nod to the folks at Apple and their ability.
