Hi all ,
I need some input. I received my iPhone 13 pro on launch day back in September and all was good until the other day when my phone would not get cell service . So I took it to the Apple Store and they couldn't figure out exactly what was going on with my phone . They weren't sure if it was something with the antenna or something with the SIM card reader so they ended up replacing the motherboard and battery . They said they replaced everything inside the phone expect for the camera stuff . They said it's considered an apple service replacement phone cause of the repairs they did . It now has a model number that starts with the letter N showing its a apple replacement device. My question is will having a iPhone 13 pro apple replacement device effect (lower) the trade in value down the road when I want to upgrade to a new iPhone ? Or will it not matter on the trade in value? Thanks for any info . I googled it and looked on here before I posted this but there doesn't seem to be any info about it

I don't know specifically, but I can't see as to how it wouldn't be a disadvantage.
Any kind of repair data on a motor vehicle, for example, never looks good to potential buyer.
The post above indicates differently, but what do I know?

That may be the case if OP was selling it to other potential buyers like swappa or eBay. But when you trade in directly to apple, it does not effect the trade in value.

Thanks for all your input . Do you know if cell phone carriers will also give full trade in value like apple will ?

Depends on the carriers? I heard that for Verizon whether your phone is damaged or not, they will still accept it and still give you the full trade in value.

Cell phone carrier…

• Does it turn on?

• Is the screen cracked?

• Does the screen work?

• Any water damage?

• Any cracks, dents or dings?

That's all they care about. Your trade in phone is going to go direct to a refurb facility. They could care less about the serial number or whether it's had parts replaced or not because the refurb facility is going to deal with any of that stuff.
