HomePod Does Hand Off Work from iPad Pro 2018 to Homepod OG ?

As the title says does Hand off from an iPad Pro (2018) work in the OG HomePod?

No it does not. I tested it. As far as I know hand off only works from an iPhone to the HomePod.
