Does having lots of watchfaces on the watch have any impact on battery life?

I have like 18 watchfaces on my S4, so I was wondering if this has any impact whatsoever on battery life? Or is it the same as having, say, only 4 watchfaces?

It’s the same thing. Only the active watch face is actually being used by the watch.

I think only active face uses battery.
