Did you observe any duplicate of step count of AW and phone in Health app in few instances?
I see no issue when my AW Series 7 is connected to my Iphone but issue is there when my bluetooth is off on my phone.

Example: When i have Bluetooth turned off and walked a bit for say 1000 steps with both AW and phone in hand, My Health app shows 1000 steps on phone and 1000 steps on watch but when i connect my AW to my phone then these 1000 steps gets duplicated and health app shows 2000. How can i fix this?

Simple issue is to have AW and phone be connected all times (no issues in this scenario)
but i have my AW without Bluetooth most of the times and use it just like tracking device so seeing issue in few instances

I have used pedometer+ since the beginning, so 6 years or so, and that has a feature to intelligently merge iphone and watch data for steps. So that mostly solves the potential issue you are seeing. I mostly trust/accept that method for tracking steps. But I have seen the issue you are talking about for other metrics, like flights climbed and it can be very difficult to tell why some things are getting counted and some are not, and when the source is the iphone vs the watch, etc. I am not sure why you don't have bluetooth turned on for your watch though, I never turn that off and so the two are always connected for me.

Shouldn’t happen, as the sources for health data are chosen by priority (you set this in the Health App). When there‘s data from more than one source at the same time, the one with th higher priority is counted in the overall number.
So far it has always worked correctly in my case…

I've sometimes seen my step count in the health app decrease - it'll show 10,995 and then quickly drop to 10,775, for example, which I believe is some sort of correction of duplicated steps. I cannot say for sure and to be honest it's super rate that I'm in that position where I have both devices but they're not connected.

Thanks for your responses, as i mentioned in my first post i see no issues when both AW and phone are connected but seeing issues only when my bluetooth is turned off on my phone . Now dont ask me why i turned it off. but please try to disconnect Bluetooth for 2-3 hours and then reconnect, you will a lot messier results.

Did you check the sources in Health? Is there maybe some App interfering that doesn’t count correctly?
