I have the tethering hack installed and everything works perfectly, but I am on OS 3.0. Has anyone tried this hack on the latest OS 3.1.3? Does your SMS & Voicemail work after the hack?

I have a 3GS on 3.1.3 which has been JB by Spirit. I have not been able to find any information on activating Tethering on this release. All of the information with regard to tethering including modifying Comm centre all indicate it is only for 3.1.2 and not to be done on 3.1.3.
Do not want to use MYWI and am quite capable of modifying any files I need to modify but cannot find the information.

I think he can still activate the native tethering.
Its not Mywi only. There's also PDaNet and a few other options.

Those only work for 3.1.2. It's sinfuliphonerepo btw.
I didn't mention PDANet, since it's also another one you have to pay for, and MyWi is much better.
I hav it turned on on my iPhone, but I want to do it to my girlfriend's phone. I guess I could "downgrade" the OS to 3.0.1. Any good tutorial on how to do that? Restore in iTunes won't work because I don't have a copy of 3.0.1

Try this, it works fine on 3.1.3. You can only use programs that support the use of socks proxies. Safari works fine, but couldn't get mail or bit torrent working. Works great for just browsing the web though.

there is a comm center hack for 3.1.3, but according to MuscleNerd it is not for use on Spirit JB. reading his twitter, some have tried it a it worked, but he warns against it. reason being is that the way Spirit works, it loads during iphone boot. if the patched commcenter happens to somehow load first, phone can lock up and not boot. may require restore to fix.
